License Agreements

When you purchase an item on CodeStar, you are purchasing a license to use that software item. We offer two clear types of licenses:

1. Regular License

Grants you an ongoing, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use the digital work.

  • You can: Use the item to create one single End Product for yourself or for one client.
  • You can: Modify or customize the source code.
  • You cannot: Charge end users to access the application (e.g. paid subscription SaaS).
  • You cannot: Redistribute the source files or resell the template.

2. Extended License

Grants you an ongoing, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use the digital work for commercial, money-making products.

  • You can: Use the item to create one End Product that is sold to end-users (e.g., SaaS with paid plans).
  • You can: Modify and adapt the codebase.
  • You cannot: Re-sell the original source files as a standalone marketplace asset.

3. API & Domain Locking

Some scripts sold on CodeStar are protected by our API validation system. Upon purchase, you will receive a Purchase Code to verify license authenticity.
